TOBIN JONES – HEAD ENGINEER
Tobin is an accomplished mix, recording engineer and producer. He revels in experimentation with new recording spaces, performance techniques and equipment to push music to new heights. Tobin’s passion for music started at an early age listening to his parent’s record collection. He began to explore a wide range of musical styles, playing in bands and travelling to London to experience as much music and art as possible. After working as a live sound engineer at festivals such as Glastonbury, he gained his first class degree in Sound Engineering from SAE London.
Following a year at Metropolis studios Tobin moved on to become assistant to producer Jim Anderson at Sub Bubble studios working with artists such as Cold Specks and The Twilight Sad. He finally became head engineer re-launching as The Park Studios in 2013.
PHIL JOANNIDES – RESIDENT PRODUCER
Phil Joannides is a writer / producer with a relentless work ethic. Cutting his teeth in the electronic music world has seen him release hundreds of songs over the years for his clients. Phil’s ethos towards creating music is simple: Nothing is bigger than the song and the emotion it is trying to express. He has worked in production and mastering with artists and record labels such as: Kscope, Perfecto Records/Armada Music, PIAS, The Anchoress, Fyfe and James Yuill.
LUCAS MENDES – ENGINEER
Lucas is a highly skilled and accomplished guitarist with an articulate vision for music production, recording, songwriting and arrangement. Since graduating from Tech Music School with a 1st class degree in music performance, Lucas has been busy working as an assistant, engineer, producer and session guitarist and has been a resident engineer/producer at The Park Studios for two years.
Equally fascinated by the technical side of music creation, as well as the practical, along with an uncanny appetite to explore new things, Lucas is able to fluently jump between roles when called upon, and knows the studio environment inside and out. He has a keen ear for forging atmospheric, sonic landscapes and extraordinary attention down to the tiniest of details, making sure each element reinforces the vision that fuels the song, be it harmonically or sonically.
He has worked with a wide range of artists including Cecilia Ebba, Swedish Death Candy and The Pearl Harts and has produced songs spanning many different genres including Electronica/trip-hop, Rock, Pop, Folk, Acoustic and Jazz.
Over the years The Park Studios have built up an impressive client list of musicians, bands, music producers and record labels who have recorded and produced many albums and films at The Park.
